Subject: 23.0.60; Rmail's `g' command marks old messages ``unseen''

Please write in English if possible, because the Emacs maintainers
usually do not have translators to read other languages for them.

Your bug report will be posted to the emacs-pretest-bug@gnu.org mailing list.

Please describe exactly what actions triggered the bug
and the precise symptoms of the bug:

Copy newly arrived mail to a file, let's call it mail.new. In an
Rimail buffer, type "C-u g mail.new RET" to get the new mail. Type
`n' and/or `p' to walk through all the new messages, so that no one of
them is marked ``unseen'' anymore (as witnessed by their color in the
rmail-summary buffer and by the absence of the "-" character to the
right of the message numbers).

Now type "C-u g mail.new" again, to read the new mail again => some of
the previously read messages become ``unseen'' again: their color
changes and they acquire the "-" character to the right of their
number.

If Emacs crashed, and you have the Emacs process in the gdb debugger,
please include the output from the following gdb commands:
    `bt full' and `xbacktrace'.
If you would like to further debug the crash, please read the file
d:/gnu/emacs/etc/DEBUG for instructions.

    * mail/rmailsum.el (rmail-summary-mark-seen): New function.  As well
as removing the '-' mark, update the summary-vector. (Bug#2135)
    (rmail-summary-rmail-update, rmail-summary-goto-msg):
    Use rmail-summary-mark-seen.
