I disagree that it looks really bad.

And it's definitely better for usability,
including scanning names when candidates
are sorted alphabetically.
But if you think it looks really bad then
file a separate bug report (enhancement
request) to be able to align parts of
completion candidates. Surely this isn't
limited to face names and color names.
