Subject: gdb arrow disappears when python-mode is loaded
Date: Fri, 30 Aug 2002 11:04:23 -0700 (MST) [thread overview]
Message-ID: <Pine.LNX.4.44.0208301103570.9234-100000@gonzo.ithacabands.org> (raw)
This bug report will be sent to the Free Software Foundation,
not to your local site managers!
Please write in English, because the Emacs maintainers do not have
translators to read other languages for them.
Your bug report will be posted to the bug-gnu-emacs@gnu.org mailing list,
and to the gnu.emacs.bug news group.
In GNU Emacs 21.2.1 (i386-redhat-linux-gnu, X toolkit, Xaw3d scroll bars)
of 2002-05-06 on webtech13

Please describe exactly what actions triggered the bug
and the precise symptoms of the bug:
When using gud-mode in this version of emacs running under X with python-mode,
the arrow that points to the currently executing line is hidden. It can
usually be made to reappear by redrawing the screen (C-c C-l). If I remove
all references to "(require 'python-mode)" from site-start and ~/.emacs, the
arrow re-appears. This was mentioned in May in gnu.emacs.help[1].
