I think the following behaviour has changed from emacs 20.x:
A search started by C-s is no longer terminated by a middle mouse button
yank (ie mouse-yank-at-click) ie any letters typed after the yank are
appended to the search string rather than to where you just pasted the
text.
Not sure if this is an intended change - it doesn't appear to be in the
documentation - it seems a bit counter intuitive to me.
