There isn't much hint to side effects like this on the 'Emacs Invocation' p= art of emacs manual, is this explained in elisp manual maybe? What I found = is "-Q=E2=80=99 Equivalent to =E2=80=98-q --no-site-file --no-splash=E2=80= =99." and that it doesn't load 'default.el'.
