Subject: ediff-problem when starting emacs from another program
Date: Wed, 3 Apr 2002 02:00:34 +0200 [thread overview]
Message-ID: <HNEFICBFKJJLFMNCAJPDKEENCAAA.arne.haarseth@nextra.com> (raw)
This bug report will be sent to the Free Software Foundation,
not to your local site managers!
Please write in English, because the Emacs maintainers do not have
translators to read other languages for them.
Your bug report will be posted to the bug-gnu-emacs@gnu.org mailing list,
and to the gnu.emacs.bug news group.
In GNU Emacs 21.2.1 (i386-msvc-nt5.0.2195)
of 2002-03-19 on buffy

Please describe exactly what actions triggered the bug
and the precise symptoms of the bug:
I start up emacs from WinCVS and run ediff to compare two buffers. Emacs
then gives the following error message:
c:\Programfiler\GNU\WinCvs 1.2\diff.exe: missing operand
c:\Programfiler\GNU\WinCvs 1.2\diff.exe: Try `c:\Programfiler\GNU\WinCvs
1.2\diff.exe --help' for more information.
If I open the same files from a stand alone emacs it works just fine.
This occures with ntemacs 20.7 and 21.2.
I run WinCVS and emacs on W2K.
