We should continue doing that. In addition we can announce them in gnu.org/software/emacs and in emacswiki. For each poll, we create a mailing list that dumps replies into a file. We use a new list and a new file for each poll. A few weeks after the announcement, we look at the responses in the file. In the announcement, we ask people to state their reasons, their use cases, and how the consequences will be good or bad for them -- not just vote. We evaluate the poll by how much good or bad the choices would do, not by counting votes. We also invite people to suggest other solutions. -- Dr Richard Stallman President, Free Software Foundation (gnu.org, fsf.org) Internet Hall-of-Famer (internethalloffame.org) Skype: No way!
