Subject: bug#16185: 24.3.50; C-o in Dired mode sometimes displays file in same window
Date: Wed, 18 Dec 2013 09:47:38 -0500 [thread overview]
Message-ID: <E1VtIPS-0000FM-Mw@fencepost.gnu.org> (raw)
Sometimes the C-o command in Dired mode, which is supposed to display
the current line's file in the other window, instead displays it in
the same window, replacing the Dired buffer.
I can't reproduce this starting from scratch, but it seems to
be associated with something strange about the buffer visiting
that file.
* It happens for certain files only.
* When it is happening for a certain file, it happens
for that file reproducibly.
* Killing that file's buffer makes the problem stop happening
for that file.
* The problem did not occur in a build made from source files
downloaded on Nov 21 at 14:20 or so.
