Hi,
I encounter an odd behavior using emacs under Linux. When I type a dead
key like ~ (dead-tilde) or ` (dead-grave) I get the error "<dead-tilde
is undefined>" (where dead-tilde is the name of the dead chars).
What is really weird is that if I open the keybinding help (C-h b) I can
then type everything correctly until I exit the current session.
I tried to launch emacs with -q parameter in case the problem was from
my personnal configuration but the problem persist.
I am using the bépo (dvorak for french) keyboard layout [0] but I have
the same error if I switch to the swiss-french layout.

I encounter an odd behavior using emacs under Linux.
Don't you mean, "under GNU/Linux"?
Thanks for reporting the bug.

We've had various reports of such problems, in the past.
Yours sounds like it's related to http://debbugs.gnu.org/14044 can you
look at this thread and see if it might help you track down the source
of the problem?

It sounds like a bad interaction with ibus.
Does someone know what might be going on with ibus?
Stefan
