The person who wrote to thank us for Emacs 23 already likes Emacs. But he is running it on an operating system, MacOS, which does not respect his freedom. I suppose he does not recognize the problem in this. We do hope to improve Emacs, but improving Emacs will not teach people to recognize and reject the evil in MacOS. That is a separate job, and we need to do them both.
