Subject: bug#3754: 23.0.95; Wish: please provide kill-whole-visual-line function
Date: Sun, 05 Jul 2009 00:33:55 +0400 [thread overview]
Message-ID: <E1MNBvn-0003om-7F@neo.paramonovs> (raw)
Hello!
The new Emacs provides function kill-visual-line, which is bound to
C-k in Visual Lines Mode. It would be nice if Emacs also provided
function kill-whole-visual-line similar to kill-whole-line, bound to
C-S-backspace in Visual Lines Mode:
(kill-whole-visual-line &optional arg)
Kill current visual line.
With prefix arg, kill that many visual lines starting from the current
visual line.
If current line consists of a single visual line, and arg is nil, also
kill the trailing newline.
If arg is zero, never kill the trailing newline.
I'm ready to provide any additional info,
Andrey Paramonov
