You are both right, and I, too, would prefer a better modifier than = control-meta. Platform conventions vary, although right-button is clearly dominant for = context menus today. There is no similarly agreed way to select = rectangles of text. Nevertheless, I would like this patch to be pushed as long as there is = no objection to the design and implementation of the feature itself. It = uses nobody's favourite binding, but at least the feature is accessible = in a useful way. With it in place, we can argue about shuffling bindings = around.
