Addendum, this was in reference to the help text that suggests this
as a substitute for C-x:
Standard Key Command In Your Emacs
C-x Control-X-prefix M-x Control-X-prefix more info
Needless to say, C-x has not been rebound and works just fine in my
Emacs.
