Maybe I'm approaching this the wrong way: What are you actually planning to do? I think we should work around the mingw bug on both the master and emacs-27 branches. We should also fix the (symbol-related) Emacs bug before it bites us: on both branches, unless we can get a mingw user to provide the output of "disassemble Fprog1" (and a bunch of other functions). (OTOH, we've already decided to keep crashable GC bugs on the emacs-27 branch). And we should wait and see whether similar crashes keep happening. What we should not do is encourage people to keep looking for another Emacs bug based on the existing backtraces.
