Subject: bug#22037: Struggling to build emacs 24.5 on Linux without X toolkit disabled
Date: Sat, 28 Nov 2015 13:39:41 +0800 [thread overview]
Message-ID: <CAFMYRRNm5J-rL=9-FWP=Aif5=WkzfrsAdt8y409MYNS0A8QTLQ@mail.gmail.com> (raw)
Hello,
I am struggling to build emacs 24.5 on (what I think is) a vanilla
Linux setup. It is RedHat 5.3 running on pretty standard corporate
datacenter hardware (x86, etc.).
My configure command:
./configure --localstatedir=/var --with-x-toolkit=no --without-gnutls
--with-xpm=no --with-jpeg=no --with-png=no --with-gif=no
--with-tiff=no
I am trying to build an emacs with no X. I only need a version
capable of building autoconf (compiling some *.el files).
The build error:

Please submit a full bug report,
with preprocessed source if appropriate.
See <http://gcc.gnu.org/bugs.html> for instructions.

My GCC is very new (5+) -- built from source on the same host.
Please let me know if I can provide additional information.
Thanks,
