Subject: bug#37782: Emacs 27 client adding [I] to the beginning of the buffer
Date: Thu, 17 Oct 2019 09:08:40 -0300	[thread overview]
Message-ID: <CAELgYhfUCXTJPYR0M_V0H4=6VzASCMpLHbK59R+-8GzbsTWHew@mail.gmail.com> (raw)
In-Reply-To: <831rvbdcjq.fsf@gnu.org>

The problem doesn't show when TERM=xterm, but only when TERM=xterm-24bit.

I created a terminfo definition as described in
https://www.gnu.org/software/emacs/manual/html_node/efaq/Colors-on-a-TTY.html
and was using it without any problem in emacs26.

Besides the aforementioned issue, I get true 24-bit color and
everything else works just fine.

The "\[I" sequence is defined for rxvt in xterm.el and it seems to me
weird that it's being used since my terminal is gnome-terminal and, as
I said, TERM=xterm-24bit.

Any idea?

Thanks!
