After starting an Emacs session and using it for a while I'll move the
cursor and it'll leave a "ghost trail" of it behind. Also, if the buffer
scrolls down, half the screen will be ghosted as well. This continues
until I force a refresh of the window by e.g. minimizing and restoring
the Emacs window.

I've uploaded a screenshot of the phenomenon to:

What font is Emacs using (as reported by C-u C-x = on one of the
characters)?

Are you still seeing this bug on a modern version of Emacs, for example
the latest version 26.2? If yes, could you provide a recipe for
reproducing it (preferably starting from emacs -Q)? Could you also
provide some more details about your system setup?

Unfortunately, that link no longer works.

Thanks,

The email bounced:

550 5.1.1 <sjm@spamcop.net>: Recipient address rejected: User unknown
in virtual mailbox table

I don't think there is much hope of making any progress on this 7 year
old bug. I'm therefore closing it now. If anyone can reproduce this,
please report back so that we can re-open the bug.

Thanks,
Stefan Kangas
