Subject: bug#58039: 29.0.50; Rename file-parent-directory to file-name-parent-directory
Date: Sat, 24 Sep 2022 05:06:51 -0400 [thread overview]
Message-ID: <CADwFkm=5RF9nNZefY4kQT4Om58cJ5aLtWyDPfhMApKL-OY0osw@mail.gmail.com> (raw)
Severity: wishlist
The new `file-parent-directory' function in Emacs 29 should be named
`file-name-parent-directory' for better consistency with the existing
functions.
See `M-x shortdoc RET file-name'.
