Subject: 24.3.50; Slow update of region higlight when Follow mode is used
--text follows this line--

When Follow mode is enabled, the region highlight does not update as fast
as it normally does.

Steps to repeat:

    emacs -Q
    C-h t
    M-x follow-delete-other-windows-and-split RET
    C-SPC
Press and hold C-n, release it when the cursor is halfway down the
window.

Here, the region highlight does not follow the cursor, it appears a
second or so after the key was released.

Just as a reference, do the same without follow-mode:

    M-x follow-mode RET
Press and hold C-n and run the cursor to the end of the window.

This time the region highlight follows the cursor as it is moved around.

It's hard to tell when this problem was introduced, as both cursor movement
and region highlight first worked, then both were broken (slow), then
cursor movement were corrected.
