The case seems to be resolved right now. And actually the opinion of a =20= 1 pt font size is wrong: the cursor's size is like with a 10 pt or 12 =20= pt font size. The effect might be better described like two =20 differently scaled glyph masks put on top of the other. Since they =20 don't match completely, some light (or black) can pass through them =20 onto the screen.
