Well, I don't think so. All 18 cases are clearly separated into:

 - emacsclient had a problem (unable to create socket, bad
authorization file, etc.)
 - emacsclient worked fine, but Emacs had a problem.

but I suppose there's no harm in waiting for some use case before
going that route.
