Not sure what the convention is, but `hook' is indexed, whereas `hooks'
is not. But `buffer-locak hooks' is indexed and `buffer-local hook' is
not. We should be consistent, at least.
In GNU Emacs 24.3.50.1 (i686-pc-mingw32)
of 2013-11-12 on LEG570
Windowing system distributor `Microsoft Corp.', version 6.1.7601
Configured using:
`configure --enable-checking 'CFLAGS=-O0 -g3' CPPFLAGS=-DGLYPH_DEBUG=1'

And in the Elisp manual, it is `hooks' and not `hook' that is
indexed, i.e., the opposite of the Emacs manual.

I don't think it matters. Closing.

There is a systematic naming convention in use here.
Names ending in -hook are normal hooks.
Names ending in -hooks are not normal hooks.
