I can't repeat this error.  Could you retry with the latest CVS sources?

Sorry, I cannot rebuild from sources.

Perhaps it's fixed in the latest code? I get the error systematically with
vanilla emacs (-q). If you don't get it on Windows with the latest code,
it's probably been fixed.

Now I understand that you are trying to build a table of contents in
the Info history buffer.  Although this is a useless operation,
I fixed info.el not to give an error, but show a TOC with a
single Top node in it.
