* highlight with mouse then shouldn't need kill-ring-save?

Gentlemen, in (iceme) X Windows all we have to do is highlight some
text with the mouse, and then it is in the cut and paste buffer.

But with emacs, oh no, one must remember to hit ESC w which runs the
command kill-ring-save.

So emacs should go with the flow, as 9 times out of 10 we do this in X
so expect it for those times in emacs too... or make it an option...

Huh? I do mouse-1 click&select and then paste into an xterm all the time
without ever using M-w.

I now know what's bothering me.
If we highlight a region with the mouse in emacs, it is available on
the X windows paste buffer.

But if we just set a mark and then say, go to the end of line, we see
the region highlighted just the same, in blue, but it is not available
on the X windows or emacs paste buffer.

So it looks the same, but acts different.

So maybe use different colors? One for current regions, one for
regions that also happen to be the current X and emacs paste buffer
current item, etc.?
