(I'm going through old bug reports that unfortunately weren't resolved
at the time.)

The discussion then went on to whether to add new features to etags, and
Dmitry said he was going to file a separate bug report for that.

But it's unclear whether there was anything more to fix in this bug
report.  (I haven't tried reproducing the test cases.)  Bob, are you
still seeing problems in this area in recent Emacs versions?
