Hi,

I tried built emacs 23.3 on Debian Squeeze (stable) on MIPSEL. Now I'm
hitting the SIGSEGV in XtInitializeWidgetClass that is described in
etc/PROBLEMS.

Full configure&build log attached, looks like -z nocombreloc is in fact
passed to the linker. Also attached is a gdb backtrace and disassembly
around the location of the crash.

I can hand out ssh login accounts to the machine in question if somebody
wants to do some in-depth debugging.

cheers,

David

For some reason my bug report [1] didn't make it to newsgroup
gnu.emacs.bug, although it's shown in the mailman archive [2]. Not sure
what developers primarily use to track bug reports; but hopefully this
mail is going to get through. Sorry if this is redundant,

cheers,

David

The mailing list is the One True Way to report and discuss Emacs bugs.
The mail:news gateway is notoriously flaky, so I am not surprised to
hear that a message did not show up. (It's been broken for weeks in the
direction news->mail.) I encourage everybody to forget that the
gnu.emacs.bug newsgroup exists.
