But just to be inventive, it could add such a mode. E.g., the user is worried that some impending doom will happen, so he wants to write to a USB card and a local file at the same time, from the same buffer. Auto saving and all. He won't have time to copy the file to the second medium when the doom hits, and he doesn't have RAID or whatever. OK, never mind. Probably little used.
