Why can't it just prompt me for a different name instead of just the
'beep and excuse' brush-off.
So "x" is in use. Well prompt me for another choice and I'll say
"y". Don't have me have to type the whole command over again.
I just want to pick a one letter string for later recall.
C-x b a <return> C-x b b <return> <escape> x r e n
a m <tab> b <tab> <return> a <return>
