Subject: xml.el can't handle some doctypes
Date: Mon, 10 Mar 2003 16:55:25 -0600 [thread overview]
Message-ID: <87r89en86a.fsf@batman.everybody.org> (raw)
Parsing the following valid XML causes an "XML: Invalid
character":
<?xml version="1.0"?>
<!DOCTYPE rdf:RDF [
<!ENTITY % HTMLlat1 PUBLIC
"-//W3C//ENTITIES Latin 1 for XHTML//EN"
"http://www.w3.org/TR/xhtml1/DTD/xhtml-lat1.ent">
%HTMLlat1;
]>
<rdf:RDF/>
Following patch fixes the problem:
*** lisp/xml.el-orig Mon Mar 10 16:53:06 2003
--- lisp/xml.el Mon Mar 10 16:52:53 2003

(if (looking-at "\\[")
(re-search-forward "\\][[:space:]]*>" end)
