Subject: bug#623: 23.0.60; ignored font statement in initial-frame-alist
Date: Mon, 28 Jul 2008 11:05:49 -0500	[thread overview]
Message-ID: <87proyuh7m.fsf@patagonia.sebmags.homelinux.org> (raw)

Please write in English if possible, because the Emacs maintainers
usually do not have translators to read other languages for them.

Your bug report will be posted to the emacs-pretest-bug@gnu.org mailing list.

Please describe exactly what actions triggered the bug
and the precise symptoms of the bug:

With the latest emacs-snapshot below, this customization (customize
interface extract):

 '(initial-frame-alist (quote ((top . 0) (left . 0) (width . 125) (height . 51) (tool-bar-lines . 1) (menu-bar-lines . 1) (scroll-bar-width . 15) (font . "Bitstream Vera Sans Mono-15"))))

no longer works (used to since Xft introduction); the 'font' statement
is now ignored, and the initial-frame starts with whatever is in
default-frame-alist.

If Emacs crashed, and you have the Emacs process in the gdb debugger,
please include the output from the following gdb commands:
    `bt full' and `xbacktrace'.
If you would like to further debug the crash, please read the file
/usr/share/emacs/23.0.60/etc/DEBUG for instructions.
