Assuming rc2 still has the problem, please try the tests I posted in https://debbugs.gnu.org/cgi/bugreport.cgi?bug=25753#29 and https://debbugs.gnu.org/cgi/bugreport.cgi?bug=25753#35. Also post the contents of buffer " *Python completions redirect*" after doing M-x run-python.
