I've fixed this problem (I hope) in auth-source.el of Emacs git, commit
788a65862ed9b9bc0437a016cae7e3ba1282a1a7. I've pushed also my workaround
in tramp.el, because Tramp cooperates also with older Emacsen.
Could you give it a try?
