Subject: bug#69484: 30.0.50; ERC 5.x: /JOIN -invite doesn't work in target buffers
Date: Thu, 29 Feb 2024 16:22:11 -0800	[thread overview]
Message-ID: <87msrix0lo.fsf__41495.3759101749$1709252612$gmane$org@neverwas.me> (raw)

Tags: easy, help

From emacs -Q:

1. M-: (erc-tls :server "testnet.ergo.chat" :nick "tmp1")
2. /JOIN ##mine
3. Repeat 1-2 with a new nick, like "tmp2"
4. From tmp2, /JOIN #test, then /INVITE tmp1
5. Back in ##mine on tmp1, notice the message: "*** tmp2 invites you ..."
6. Try issuing a /JOIN -invite
7. Notice the error message: "You've got no invitation"
8. Switch to the server buffer and try 7 again

Hints:
- In what buffer does `erc-server-INVITE' run?
- What determines where "*** tmp2 invites you ..." is displayed?

Bonus:
- Add "#test" (and maybe "-invite") as completion candidates for /JOIN
