When entering Latin 9 umlaut special characters in X, examples ö, ä, ï, ü, the emacs parsing in X is incorrect and renders a Czech s. This is definitely an emacs bug because: 1. it occurs identically when starting emacs with the -q switch 2. it always occurs in the same way 3. it does NOT occur in xemacs or other X applications loaded simultaneously with emacs in other X consoles on the same machine.
