Please write in English if possible, because the Emacs maintainers
usually do not have translators to read other languages for them.

Your bug report will be posted to the bug-gnu-emacs@gnu.org mailing list,
and to the gnu.emacs.bug news group.

Please describe exactly what actions triggered the bug
and the precise symptoms of the bug:

I'm trying to hit C-\ on my Windows Vista machine, but Emacs recognizes
the key press as just \ (self-insert-command).

If Emacs crashed, and you have the Emacs process in the gdb debugger,
please include the output from the following gdb commands:
    `bt full' and `xbacktrace'.
If you would like to further debug the crash, please read the file
c:/Program Files/emacs/etc/DEBUG for instructions.

How do you press \ on your keyboard?

If it is with AltGr key, then I think only the Right control key will
work, as the modifier code for AltGr is identical to Left-Ctrl
Right-Alt, so Left-Ctrl can not be applied to keycodes including AltGr.

I do indeed use AltGr to press \.

Trying RCtrl+AltGr++ (which should make C-\ on a Swedish keyboard) on
Windows 7 fails to make a C-\ as well.

Did you type the keys in the order explained here

Dang, after having looked at it closer, it seems that my right control
key is bound to SPC for some reason. I think it has to do with my
remapping of Ctrl and Caps. I can not verify whether the Emacs Wiki
method works.
