Subject: bug#36587: list-buffers' docstring should mention Buffer-menu-name-width lifesaver
Date: Thu, 11 Jul 2019 08:14:19 +0800 [thread overview]
Message-ID: <87k1cpxw9w.5.fsf@jidanni.org> (raw)
(info "(emacs) List Buffers") and list-buffers's docsrting should
mention:
If you often have longer buffer names truncated [so much so that they
even become identical], be sure to set a higher value for
Buffer-menu-name-width.
Thanks.
(As list-buffers was written for 80 character wide screens, and does not
consult window-body-width.)
