The 'up to six or so line high shell command output put right there in
the minibuffer for your convenience' upon M-! (or ! in dired) has got to
go: It looks so invitingly like the usual real *Shell Command Output*
buffer, but if you dare wish to see further into the rest of its
contents, if jumps off of the screen like some Halloween prank, and
somewhere into the buffer list not easy to reach with any _quick_
keystrokes.

I today will begin using (setq max-mini-window-height 1), however this
action of mine will not protect generations to come from dealing with
this design flaw.

Wait, what if the output is indeed one line, but is real long. Then we have
the same problem... I cant see to the end of that line, as it is
truncated.  Ok, I will try
(setq max-mini-window-height 0)
which ... is ignored as if I said 1 !
same thing happens if I use nil or 0.001
