Maybe Emacs' dired-do-compress should warn and ask upon encountering
.Z's: "Do you want to make a copy of the .Z file first, as a second
dired-do-compress will turn it back into a .gz file instead of a .Z
file. Furthermore, due to patents, there might be no command
available to restore the .Z file".
