Does the "happened twice" part mean that not every session > shows memory footprint growth like this? If not, what exactly > happened twice? Sorry, I should have been more clear. Emacs ate a lot of ram and slowed my computer down to a crawl. But I could still kill emacs properly (C-x C-c), suggesting that it's not a while(1){malloc();} loop, because I wouldn't have been able to do that if it was. So I killed it. I ran another session, and the same problem happened again. Both times, it happened at seemingly random times. That being said, my emacs session currently takes up 35% of my RAM (that is more than 1gb so anormal, and it's an uptime of 14 hours, including many in suspended state). I'll try and leave the session open for a few hours, so if you have ideas of commands to run to debug it, it's all yours.
