Subject: move my dired to the real link wherever that may be
Date: 28 Jul 2002 04:06:08 +0800	[thread overview]
Message-ID: <87heilhr67.fsf@jidanni.org> (raw)

Let's say that I do (dired "/usr/doc/analog/"), but then the thought
occurs "hey, aren't I happily direding away in symbolic link land?
Wish there was a command to 'move' my dired session to the real pwd,
whatever that may be, (and back again, if I want too)."
Assume the user doesn't want to do C-x C-v /usr/share/doc/analog/, and
instead wants emacs to figure it out for him, and not disturb his
marks.

Hmmm, the above seems rather "commands for the rich for use on the
yacht" so never mind.
