Subject: configure in M-x compile: use line numbers
Date: 27 Oct 2002 16:04:13 +0800 [thread overview]
Message-ID: <87d6pwi9z6.fsf@jidanni.org> (raw)
Running the typical GNU configure with emacs' M-x compile:
checking Tk include dirs...
configure: warning: *** Did not find tk.h, maybe okay...
Well, without line numbers, we can't [in emacs] jump to the spot in
the configure script to see what exactly caused this.
Wait, there is a config.log with the line numbers... but unfortunately
this is not all hooked up as nice as it could be on a usual "make"
run, where on just hits next-error.
