hi
It would be nice if we can disable messages displayed in the echo area, for
instance, when a functions saves a file with file-save.

(I'm going through old bug reports that have unfortunately gotten no
attention yet.)

In Emacs 25, the new dynamic variable `inhibit-message' was introduced
that will enable inhibiting output from `message', so I think what you
ask for is now supported.
