From emacs -q, click on "L5" (mode-line-position) with mouse-1 and turn
on "Display of Column Numbers".
Now click on "(5,0)" (mode-line-position) with mouse-1 and turn off
"Display of Line Numbers".
Notice how the "C0" (mode-line-position) isn't clickable any more.

That was a regression in Emacs 28, so I backported it to the release
branch.
