I tries "make wdired-tests" in Mojave, and it doesn't report any
problems.  I seem to remember working on ls -lF-related bits for Macos a
while back, so I'm guessing that fixed this problem, too, and I'm
closing this bug report again.

If the problem persists, send an email to the debbugs address and we'll
reopen.
