This works fine with Emacs 25. The same scenario fails with Emacs 26
after the `package-install' call, with error message

--8<---------------cut here---------------start------------->8---
Importing package-keyring.gpg...done
Contacting host: elpa.gnu.org:443 [2 times]
Package refresh done
Setting ‘package-selected-packages’ temporarily since "emacs -q" would overwrite customizations [2 times]
Contacting host: elpa.gnu.org:443
package-install-from-archive: https://elpa.gnu.org/packages/ebdb-0.4.2.tar: Bad Request
--8<---------------cut here---------------end--------------->8---

Before further analyzing, this problem shall be fixed. Don't know who's
in call, 'tho.

Best regards, Michael.
