Subject: beginning emacs user arrested for C-f
Date: Mon, 14 Apr 2003 15:37:23 +0800 [thread overview]
Message-ID: <877k9xedho.fsf@jidanni.org> (raw)
Here's one for instant abuse of the user:
$ emacs
then C-f. Beep. End of buffer, Charles.
"But (using -nw) I saw I was a far way from the end of bugg^H^Hffer",
and then when I tried its most basic keystroke, all the mystical text
shrunk and next thing you know it beeped and there was this cop
writing out a ticket for me being at the end of buffer, which I now
was."
In the non -nw case, one can't seem to tell where the cursor is, BTW.
