It messages me to remove the old cache file .newsticker-cache, but
after I type key q (newsticker-close-buffer) to close newsticker, it
will re-build the .newsticker-cache file again. Hence, it will prompt
me to remove the old cache file again next time.

I cannot reproduce the re-build of the old cache file.
However, I changed the code so that newsticker will not show a hint
about removing the old cache file but will offer to delete the old cache
file. Once the file is deleted, newsticker will not complain about old
cache files anymore.
Please try.
