It should be clear from looking at the code of the function that this
is expected:
(if (setq name (get-char-code-property c 'name))
(push (cons name c) names))
(if (setq name (get-char-code-property c 'old-name))
(push (cons name c) names))
Now look at the "Old Name" fields of the characters in the Unicode
database and tell me what you see there.
And if this is not enough, then this excerpt from the full output of
the function should explain the rest:
