bug#5389: 23.1.91; Indentation broken in CC Mode

Typing C-j with point after the brace does not indent the next line,
as it used to in all previous Emacs versions.  Nor does TAB reindent a
line as expected.

Am I the only one who sees this?  Am I missing some recent changes?

The same happens on today's trunk, btw.
