What do you think about the idea of handling the select-window event the same as we handle the select-frame event during the key sequence? For example, type C-x, then cause the select-frame event by a suitable mouse gesture (here I have focus follow mouse, so just moving the mouse to another frame causes that), then type C-x again. This produces "C-x C-x" which works on the buffer shown in the selected window of the frame to which I moved the mouse. Can we do something similar with mouse-autoselect-window?
